Building such Platforms requires persons who can share their expertise in their fields, information technology, knowledge of liberal arts, etc. People having such competence are nowadays widely demanded by society. What Is Platform Science? People Student Activities Information for Applicants School of Platforms Program Fund Course Information (Kyoto University internal access only) Outlooks on Platform Science [Second Semester 2023, Tuesday 5th Period (mainly designed for first-year Master’s students)] Overview and Aims: This course deals with “platforms” that use information and communications technology (ICT) to digitize various forms of information throughout society, to gather such data widely, to accumulate it as big data, and to organize, analyze and share this big data. Students are introduced to cutting-edge topics in this area by professors of the Graduate School of Informatics, faculty in charge of the Distinguished Doctoral Program of Platforms, and speakers from outside the university.
