Its most important role is not only to plan the activities handled until then by the Student Health Care Center to support students in terms of health and hygiene, but also to plan more effective measures through analyzing the health information that has been gathered in the process. For this reason, the section is considered to represent the continuation of the Student Health Care Center itself. The history of the Student Health Care Center can be traced back to the student clinic said to have been established in 1927, making it more than 90 years old. The Health Administration Center itself was established in 1969 by the Ordinance of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Its everyday duties are intended to enable students to live healthy and safe lives on campus through services including health management, health guidance, diagnosis, and emergency services, based on the philosophy of “contributing to the creation of a healthy society through properly identifying, treating, and preventing student illness while carrying out health maintenance and promotion, in order to produce human resources who are healthier in both body and mind.”   This section is not just involved in the “Health Care” of general education. It is also responsible for the health informatics course (cooperative course) of the Graduate School of Information Sciences and the Graduate School of Medicine’s informatics on pathophysiology field (cooperative field) and carries out graduate education and research. Initiatives of Research and Educational Activities The educational activities of this section include the implementation of health science seminars and the publication of health leaflets such as the health guide, in addition to health consultation, diagnosis, periodical health examination, special health examination, post-treatment and nutrition consultation which are all conducted at the Student Health Care Center. In terms of the research activities, it plans and draws up effective health measures through analyzing the health information that has been gathered at the Student Health Care Center.
